Staying active with your kids while enjoying your Cayman vacation is very easy than you may think. Here’s some activity & fitness tips you can #Maximize on your family vacation in Grand Cayman.

Walking in George Town “Cayman’s Capital” to visit some of our tourist shops, take pictures of the water front and eat some of the Island food. This will allow you to burn some calories and get a minimum of 10,000 steps a day for those who are wearing a fitness tracker like Fitbit etc. (Staying hydrated in the heat is essential)

Boycott the elevator, this will be taking it to another level, which forces you to stay active daily, assuming you’re not on the first floor. Think about it, you will be getting cardio and toning your calf, thighs and buttocks, just by running/jogging the stairs every time to leave your room and back upstairs when your returning on a daily. According to the American College of Sports Medicine, a 150-pound woman can burn more than 500 calories in 30 minutes while stair running. Not ready to run the stairs? Walking them for a half hour burns 286 calories—which is equivalent to walking at 3.5 mph for two hours!

Swimming challenge in the pool, challenge your kids and your partner to see who can swim the most laps in the pool in four minutes and the winner gets a treat under $25.00. You can perform this game for as many rounds as you would like.
